An informative and humorous take on the repercussions that a ‘hard exit’ will have on EU passport holding artists and solutions.
With: Barrister Adrian Berry and Comedian Alice Frick
Adrian Berry is a barrister at Garden Court Chambers, London. His practice spans a range of inter-related areas concerning citizenship, migration, human rights, international protection, and social assistance. He is Chair of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA).
Adrian has an extensive practice in relation to both EU citizenship and the free movement of persons under EU law. He has appeared in numerous cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and in numerous reported cases in domestic UK courts. He has a particular interest in EU law as it applies to EU citizens and third country nationals in immigration and social welfare cases.
Alice Frick is a London-based, Austrian stand-up comedian and actress. Alice works across Europe and further afield – in her homeland, the UK, Germany and the USA. Besides comedy and acting, her great passion is script-writing. Alice has recently co-written and co-produced a feature film that will be premiered in Austria, March 2017. She hosts and organises a monthly Soho based comedy show Laughing Labia, and has always received a raucous and warm welcome at previous Giddy Aunt’s events.
Giddy Aunts bring together producers, directors, artists, actors, performance artists, photographers, musicians, DJ’s and fledgelings wondering how to spread their wings… the list goes on…
GA events provide unique opportunities to experience and give feedback for new work, listen to discussions, ask questions, and make connections with a vibrant network of international, London-based female artists, South of Soho and Shoreditch! Brixton is Hip!
All are welcome – this is not just a women only event – we welcome supportive work and life partners and friendly giddy uncles.
